Welcome to the Galway Folk Festival 2026, a vibrant celebration of folk, roots, and trad music in the heart of the Wild Atlantic Way – marking our 5th birthday and our biggest festival to date, spanning 9 venues across the city.

From June 3rd to 7th, Galway comes alive with music, stories, and song as we host over 70 incredible artists – both legends and rising stars – across multiple stages from home and abroad. Featuring intimate gigs, foot-stomping sessions, and inspiring performances, there’s lots of exciting new talent to discover alongside more established names.

Our free daytime programme on Saturday and Sunday ensures we are even more accessible for festival-goers of all ages. A huge shout-out to our incredible team who have worked tirelessly to make this festival happen, and to all of you our audience, who bring the heart and soul to the festival each year.
