The Galway Folk Festival is a vibrant celebration of folk music, uniting artists, musicians, and the community to honour the rich heritage of the genre. Join us as we come together to embrace both traditional and contemporary folk music from around the world..

From June 5th to 9th, Galway will be alive with the sounds of folk, roots, and traditional music, with performances across multiple stages and venues. Our mission is to champion and preserve traditional folk arts while nurturing a sense of community engagement and cultural exchange.

Featuring a line-up showcasing talent from over 50 established names and emerging artists, there’s something for every music enthusiast. In addition to our ticketed shows, festival-goers can enjoy free daytime events spread across three stages. Cuppa Tea TV returns with a special focus on Youth in Music on Saturday and Sunday, while Culture Vultures with Tony Clayton-Lea offers insightful conversations with special guests throughout the weekend.

We are thrilled to return for the third year of the Galway Folk Festival with a mix of exciting new talent and established folk and trad artists. We’ve expanded our free daytime programme on Saturday and Sunday, making it family-friendly and inclusive for all ages. We can’t wait to welcome attendees from across Ireland and all corners of the globe. See you in June!
