Few artists embody the spirit and soul of Irish songwriting quite like Damien Dempsey. Born in Donaghmede in the mid-70s, Dempsey moved from the boxing ring to the stage, forging a voice that speaks to hope, hardship and the heart of community. His annual Vicar Street performances have become a cherished ritual, captured beautifully in the documentary Love Yourself Today. A storyteller, a truth-teller and a rare musical force, Damien Dempsey’s live shows are powerful, emotional and unforgettable.
